Ten years ago, I lost my dear poppa to ALS, a disease that relentlessly stole the life of a man who had been full of love, laughter, and spirit. Since that moment, I have carried the memory of my poppa close to my heart, and the fight against ALS has become a mission that drives me.

In honor of my poppa and all those affected by ALS, I joined the Buck a Puckcampaign, raising both awareness and funds for ALS research. For every dollar raised, I will take a shot — whether it’s on the ice during a game, at practice, or even in the driveway at home — symbolizing my commitment to the cause and my dedication to making a difference.

I'm participating in the 2025/2026 ALS Canada Buck-A-Puck for ALS this season. From now until the end of January, I will be challenging myself to shoot a puck for every dollar I raise.

I am shooting pucks for hope on behalf of people who need our strength and support the most. 

Imagine if every registered hockey player in Canada raised just $3. In that case, we’d be $1 million closer to a world free of ALS.
